La moda sta continuando a regalare enormi sorprese a tutti i suoi appassionati. Questa volta è il turno del noto brand Balenciaga e del suo direttore creativo Demna Gvasalia. Lo stilista georgiano ha idealizzato un nuovo modo per presentare la sua nuova collezione Fall21. Ha deciso di farlo utilizzando la tecnologia progettando insieme ad i suoi collaboratori un video game. Il titolo della collezione e dell’omonimo video game è ‘Afterworld: the age of tomorrow‘. L’evento è ambientato nel 2031, anno in cui lo stilista prospetta un ritorno alla normalità, una normalità che si spera arrivi il più presto possibile. Le varie scenografie del videogioco mettono in luce tutte le probabili visioni futute del mondo, dove nell’ansia dell’oggi si cerca di risorgere per un nuovo futuro. Un futuro diverso da quello che si è sempre conosciuto, ma che si auspica sappia ancora molto di normalità e banalità.
Ai modelli è stato chiesto di posare come in un normale shooting fotografico. Le loro pose catturate dai fotografi sono state poi trasformate nelle pose dei loro rispettivi Avatar.
Gli abiti della collezione sono molto particolari e le armature indossate dai vari modelli sono un elemento preponderante all’interno dello show.
L’armatura è stata scelta dallo stilista, in quanto simbolo di eroismo, ossia di un argomento molto sentito in questo strano 2020.

The Georgian designer has idealized a new way to present his new Fall21 collection. He decided to do so using technology by designing a video game together with his collaborators. The title of the collection and the video game of the same name is ‘Afterworld: the age of tomorrow‘. The event is set in 2031, the year in which the designer promises a return to normality, a normality that hopefully arrives as soon as possible. The various sets of the video game highlight all the likely futile visions of the world, where in the anxiety of today we try to rise for a new future. A future that is different from what we have always known, but which we hope will still know a lot about normality and banality.
The models were asked to pose as in a normal photo shoot. Their poses captured by photographers were then transformed into the poses of their respective Avatars.
The clothes of the collection are very special and the armor worn by the various models are a preponderant element within the show.
The armor was chosen by the designer, as a symbol of heroism, that is, of a much felt topic in this strange 2020.
